Cottages of Edina

I have lived at Cottages for 11 years. I am from a 5 bedroom house and wanted the feel of home rather than a hotel. Cottages has been wonderful with the large kitchen, increditable deck, and a fireplace.
Jose and Jan have been very responsive whenever i have needed maintance. I use the new workout room all the time.

I moved here last December and I'm very happy that I did. My townhome is quiet, roomy, and bright. Any maintenance is quickly and cheerfully done. The residents are friendly which is something I didn't expect. Any time that I leave my front door or walk around the property as likely as not people I don't know will greet me or return my greeting.

The property, grounds, and the new office/party room/workout center are clean and well-kept. If something is scheduled that might disrupt life... (like repairing the parking areas or painting), there's a detailed note is each mailbox telling us. This is a GREAT place to live! Read More

The COE apartments are a great place to live. The square footage, central air and large patios/balconies can't be beat for the price compared to other complexes in the area. Management is friendly and helpful and maintenance always is completed quickly. The wood burning fireplace is a huge bonus and very relaxing during the cold winter months.

The apartments at Cottages of Edina are very nicely-sized. The kitchen rivals the size of a one in a house. There are also very roomy patio/balconies for each unit. Most have a wood-burning fireplace which is nice because heat is not included in the rent. The on-site managers are very friendly and seem to address concerns quickly.

The biggest issue is that the construction was very cheaply done and there is zero sound-proofing. You can hear your neighbors (and vice versa) for just about all... normal daily activities and anything that's louder than walking without shoes on and low-normal speaking voice. You can also hear people outside when you are inside. As long as you have quiet, respectful neighbors, it works out. But it is not the place for partyers or those with children. You'll receive a lot of noise complaints. Some units have been updated but others really need it- things like chipped bathroom fixtures. Also, if you use the garbage disposal the entire wall shakes- even for other units.
