FreightYard Townhomes and Flats

These apartments are beautiful, and the location is completely unbeatable. I was so excited to move in here. However, the paper mache walls quickly made me regret it. I hear every sound my neighbors make— silverware clinking against bowls, microwaves opening/closing, the tags on dog collars, coughs, sneezes, etc. Along with every bark from the many dogs here and every word of every conversation.

On top of that, the rent isn't as cheap as it looks— they charge you for EVERYTHING. I pay an extra... ~$200 per month on top of my rent. They charge you for water and sewer because each unit has its own teeny water heater— don't even think about taking a hot shower that lasts more than 10 minutes.

Lastly, the management is pretty hit or miss. I asked two separate leasing agents about noise when I moved in, and they both lied to my face assuring me that units were super quiet. The maintenance staff and an employee or two seem like they really care, but the rest are so indifferent to the needs of tenants. Not worth the price. This agency has endless amounts of fees that will add $2-300 a month to you monthly rent. Expect multiple water shut offs a month and zero water pressure when it does work, water basically not suitable to drink, often has colors and particulates. Paper thin walls, you’ll hear your neighbors clear as day even when they’re being just normal. So you’ll hear dogs and talking all night. Our unit is fine enough. But, extremely expensive for the lack of space and zero amenities we have. Also, management is the absolute worst I've encountered. The majority of residents here have horror stories from their experiences working with them. Terrible customer service, ZERO proactive communication about anything, and disrespectful employees.

I moved in two months ago and I'm very happy. Kate, the new manager, is on top of it! I had two minor concerns and both were addressed efficiently and in a friendly manner.
Great neighbors - very friendly and courteous. I love the varied age/race/gender demographic.
