If you have no other options, then live here
We lived here for over 7+ years. It was wonderful when we first moved in as Sue and Marge were in the office and Henry did the maintenance. The office was staffed every day Monday through Friday, maintenance requests were tended to promptly. We were kept informed of issues with the water and when it would be turned off for repair in timely manner. After Centerspace purchased the property (Sue left, Marge left, and they fired all the residents that did the cleaning and the maintenance guy Henry)... it went down hill. The office was staffed "sometimes", it was supposed to be open 3 days a week, it was NOT, it was open two days at best. The police calls were more frequent, the maintenance request went weeks without being done. No one in the office ever answered back when you would email. The monthly charges for the water, trash, and sewer were really high, and they kept getting higher. I had asked over a year ago to get the air conditioner on and working in the workout room and a year later, it still did not work. The building is old (water issues), the walls are thin (noise complaints went unchecked) and Centerspace only cares about making money, they do not care about residents. The people in the office talk a good game, however, don't be fooled. The only good thing I can say is, the maintenance person they have right now Chad is excellent. He cares about getting things done correctly the first time.
