Gervais Lake Apartments

Property managers at Gervais Lakes do not know how to do their basic duties. The main person in charge does not know how to actually care for tenants. You have any questions, expect them to get back to you promptly after a few months. They will up your rent 5% each year because they can EVEN THOUGH THE PROPERTY HAS GOTTEN WORSE . Quintin has told NUMEROUS lies about projects to better the apartment. If you apply i'm sure you will hear "Yeah we plan on renovating everything soon" they told us… that when we moved in years ago. They showed my son the "apartment" we would be moving into. He took a quick video and it seemed ok. When we got there to move in it was not the same apartment. It was in a different building. The apartment was gross. It had not been cleaned. There were burn marks all over the bathroom vanity the faucet for the shower was hanging out of the wall. The kitchen cupboards in the kitchen were so filthy I did not want to put my dishes in them. The hallway to the apartment smelled like dog pee and… there was what looked like food stuff rubbed on the walls. We tried that night to get out of the lease. But they wanted a 2- month payment as a fee for moving out. They never answered my calls for repair of anything even when the roof was leaking into the ceiling of the apartment soaking the carpet. We paid the fee since the water in one bedroom leaked so bad we could not use the room because of wet carpet. We did put in work orders but nothing was ever done. While staying in building 1015 I found bed bugs and cockroaches. There was a pet urine smell in the hallway, and the property was always a mess. I tried for months to contact the property managers to break my lease, and my calls went unanswered. I finally had to vacate and will say that is by far the worst living experience I've encountered.

Lived there for 10 years.. It was good in the beginning, but after going through so many land lords, it got worser and worser. Maintenance sucks, they half fix things or dont fix it at all. our neighbor upstairs was an idiot and left their balcony door open and we ended up with water damage on our ceiling, which still wasnt fix by maintenance. i would not recommend living here.
