1) When we moved in the unit was not cleaned. The previous tenant had a cat and you could see (and smell) kitty litter in spot they had the box. Shower rod was not connected to the wall and maintenance took a week to repair.

2) NO WORKING HEAT. Spent the entire winter with no heat. The heat is operated by the building which is operated by temperature (so we were told). Not once did I ever feel heat blowing even a little from the baseboards. We notified management many times but they did not... fix the issue. The temperature in our bedroom would hover around 60 degrees during January. To make matters worse management sent someone to "check" the heat and they did not notify us that someone would be entering the unit. The person who "checked" the heat simply left a note saying "heat checked".

3) Black mold growing on the walls... Management sent someone to "fix" the issue but all they did was wipe the walls with bleach. The mold grew back. Eventually they supplied us with a dehumidifier, which we were told to run 24/7.

4) Management is atrocious. Our lease said 24/7 maintenance but wait times were longer than what I would consider normal. The kitchen counter was detaching from the wall (with mold growing on it) and no one ever came to fix it or even look at it. This was the worst living experience I have ever been through. KRC is hands down the worst rental company in the Twin Cities. Do not rent from these people if you can avoid them. Read More
