I once rented an apartment from them and upon move out I was doing a routine walk through when their property manager attempted to bully me into paying him $1,000 for minor touch up paint. I should mention that he showed up several hours early and barged into the apartment without giving any notice or announcing himself. He then preceded to accuse me of trashing the apartment for quite literally having some standard wear and tear touch up paint on one single wall. After I refused to give him a... dime he forced me out of the apartment before I was able to remove my belongings. This happened three days before my lease was supposed to end. When I contacted the corporate office and submitted to them video evidence of their property manager's unprofessional-ism they brushed it off and told me they would take care of the situation. I happen to know for a fact that they did nothing in regard to his behavior. He is still the on site manager at this property. I strongly recommend that you don't rent from this company if this is typical of how they treat their tenants. This apartment complex is on the corner of Southwest Ave and Limit Ave in Maplewood, MO; right down the street from Schlafly's. If you are considering renting an apartment in this area make sure the building has no affiliation with this company. Keep in mind that they have several different companies for their properties.
