Meridian at Harrison Pointe

There are a lot of good things about this place. It has a great location right next to many shops. It is a quiet neighborhood. The walls isolate sound well so I don't hear much noise from neighbors. The primary problem with this place is that they have raised my rent by $400 over the last 2 years without any meaningful improvements to the community. Additionally I have been without my balcony for nearly a year since they haven't hired contractors that can finish a fix in a timely manner. This is... with an additional rental increase since the start. The office staff is nice, but their hands are held by the investment holders who just see us as income.

Also if you are considering moving here and you choose a top floor apartment, make sure you are ok with a constant loud humming noise. The HVAC tends to cause a humming noise all night in my bedroom. A little late but don't want to miss this opportunity of calling out my experience with Meridian at Harrison pointe. The most comfortable one year spent with the community; I am happy to drop a word on the exceptionally great experience with management right from the time I started. From Scott to Mike to Kassidy; the individual attention given by each to make your stay comfortable and ensure we don't have any inconvenience whatsoever. Right from move-in to move-out; each interaction has been a... great one. Loved the events for people connect but that's like a good to have. Regarding the need to have services; as a resident, there has been absolute wonderful moment with each member of management who simply go out of the way just to make you feel comfortable. I sincerely apologize for writing such a long review but I honestly believe if you are considering this apartment then you should definitely read this. I lived in this apartment for over 3 years and let's just say I want everyone to know how this place went from being an extremely friendly place to the worst you can find in Cary over the years of my stay there. When I moved to Meridian in 2018 the management was the best. They were very cooperative and made everything very easy and smooth. Fast... forward 3 years and I have no idea what happened to the management. Not even a single member from the old team is there anymore and the new team has been put in place to make your life hell. Don't worry I am gonna list the examples from my own experiences to support my case.
1. One time they charged me twice for the storage room that I was renting with Meridian and my payment was set to auto hence the extra payment was declined. They then sent me an eviction warning without checking their own records first because $15 in storage fees (the double amount) was not paid
2. I don't know how they keep their records but they called and demanded the keys to be submitted a month before my lease even ended
3. When we finally moved out they sent us the final statement 5 days after our lease end date which already had a late payment added to it!! and an additional $125 in cleaning charges when the apartment was left quite clean. It just had normal wear and tear of us living there for so many years. Ok I will still get on board with the cleaning charges. Mind you the only way they accept payment is through a money order.
And since we moved outside the city we sent out MO to the address they provided. This address is not even a valid address in USPS or UPS or FedEx. So when I sent my money order for the final payment it got lost in the mail. I tried to communicate with them on what the correct address is but they didn't respond. I then had the MO sent to a friend who submitted it for us. The payment cleared within 30 days of my lease end date which is the agreement. But does my pain end here? Of course not. After 2 weeks I received a notice from the debt collection agency saying that we still owed money to Meridian (That too an incorrect amount!)
I have no idea how they mess up so many times with a single resident. Take my advice and go to some other place. It will save you a lot of headaches!! Read More

First of all I had a great experience with Scott from leasing office. Great guy and very humble, helpful. Overall staff is great and you can feel home like warmth with them. I was really happy to experience that as I haven`t had good experiences with leasing office people in past (always rude).
When it comes to apartments, they have one of a kind like properties. Neat, beautiful, spacious, peaceful. All services are affordable and at its best. No complaints at all! In fact more than happy to... join. :) Read More

Over 4 years at the property and can't say enough about this place. Staff was great all around. Maintenance and Office staff will generally do what they can to make things right in the event something does go wrong, because let's be real folks, things break at times.

Got Pets? No problem, allowed and plenty of places to throw out the poop.

Like to eat? Even better, smack dab in the corner of just about everything, not to mention 3 groceries stores in walking distance (Teeter, Aldi, Walmart)... .

Like to socialize? They got you covered, multiple events throughout the month.

Like to cook? Get a Unit with the island, you're welcome.

Thin walls? Nope.

Hear people above/below you? Never had a problem.

Rent increases on renewal? Super reasonable.

In terms of the apartment, they really do set themselves above what's in the area for a lot cheaper. Sure they're some nicer apartments closer to SAS, but enjoy paying $500+ extra a month for less room for "nicer".

The amenities are another plus. Salt water pool usually dies down in the later afternoon time, and is great to go around all year round. They've got fire pits, grills, a solid gym, and common area. Having a secure, enclosed building WITH an Elevator was also a huge plus with the wife. You can buzz people into the building from your phone, so great if you need to let the dog walker or someone in while at work.
Wasn't a huge fan of the new mail lockers, but it was nice being able to get packages after office hours.

The only reason we ended up leaving is due to purchasing a home. Meridian took care of us for half a decade, and i absolutely recommend this or any of their properties. Read More
