Thefts and non delivery of mail
The community does not have any security patrol ( and no access gates), because of which theft incidents are common. Also, there are many incidents of mail not getting delivered.

Fantastic Area, but not without fault.
Aside from being mislead into believing the $350 pet fee would be waved with approved credit and then being told it wouldn't after the application/holding fee was paid; we love the area. The property itself is well kept and if you like windows you'll love the one bedroom floor plans, not to mention the incredible cabinet space. A saltwater swimming pool is a unexpected benefit as well. The rates are very good considering its proximity to the Ballantyne and Blakeny areas, however this is likely... due to the apartments nonupgraded amenities. Composit countertops and slightly worn stainless steel appliances don't compare with it's surrounding competitors, so they compensate with square footage, which sold us. Don't bother with the "technology package" as Camden hasn't made it as streamlined as it could be. You'll get conflicting bills which don't justify any convenience, and service is not consistent. All in all, the place is great. We aren't thrilled with the sales tactics and neighbors parking habits, but the price is good, and the area can't be beat.

Sweet, albeit confused staff.
We moved in about a month and a half ago, and the staff seems nice. We like the apartment (not loving two flights of stairs, but that's the luck of the draw) and the amenities are nice, if a little crowded. We have had two annoying problems, however. While looking at the apartments, the woman who showed us around lead us to believe that she could get our initial pet few waived; however, once we had signed an intent form, we were told that was never the case. They "helped" us by splitting the pet... fee between two months instead of one, which seems to be literally the least they could do. We have also had numerous issues with the TV package that is a part of our rent. Neither Time Warner, nor our apartment staff seems to communicate at all, and our staff seems to know little to nothing about it. The apartment complex initially told us we needed to get converter boxes. When we went to get them, we were told the prior tenants had failed to pay, and that we needed to prove that we had just moved in! Our complex was unable to call and fix this problem for us (turns out, it was them who had failed to tell TWC about the move-out. We pay the complex for cable, not TWC directly). The woman at Camden also told us we wouldn't need to pay a fee for the converter boxes for the first year...and lo and behold, I received a (separate) bill from TWC yesterday. So we ar supposed to pay a "flat" cable and Internet fee to the complex each month and then ALSO ten bucks to TWC separately each month as well? Who knows. Nobody seems to know what's going on.
The quality of the actual apartment is nice, the layout is great, and we love the location. Just wish we knew what the heck we are paying for in our technology package, because it sure as heck isn't convenience.
