Used to like living there a lot more. My only complaint was my constantly noisy neighbors above me. Now, however, I have mixed feelings about the place.

When this community was under Cortland they were much better. Grey isn’t completely terrible but the maintenance has to do better

DO NOT MOVE INTO Avana Matthews! I have lived here since September of 2021 and never had an issue until the property was purchased by Greystar and became Avana. A pest control contractor came into my apartment and damaged my personal property. Nothing from Avana. If you have a pet that visits you are required to pay for that pet even if they do not live there on a permanent basis. I was charged 362.10 for the pet even with an approved ESA letter. You now have to register your vehicle every time... you enter the complex and park or you get your vehicle booted. It is not worth the hassle to be here. Avana Matthews needs to increase the maintenance staff to handle maintenance requests. I have been waiting over two weeks to have the dryer in my apartment fixed. I was told I was not the only one waiting for weeks to have appliances fixed.
Also the drain line from the A/C unit has been leaking on to the floor and under the baseboards. The laundry room his beginning to smell musty.

This community has huge potential. I have been here for over 4 years and have been disappointed always. My first morning in my apartment I got locked out on my second story porch for over an hour. I’ve been locked out twice to a faulty lock system. That was never fixed. I’ve had visitors get locked out on days I’ve luckily been there. My tub was disgusting on move in, they claimed they’d renovate it and then never did and denied they ever said so. Then proceeded to break the lease by entering... unannounced to spray the tub with a film cover that got all over my belongings and the floor. Maintenance is a joke. They don’t care, year after year. They are so disrespectful, texting me “smh (shake my head) when they needed to come and replace my fridge. They never contact me when I specify I need to be contacted. It’s a joke. I pay too much money to live in such conditions. The community finally fixed the 30 lights that were out in the neighborhood after 4 years of me complaining and personally putting I’m requests with the city. Do better. The residents deserve better and deserve for you to act like you care after move in. Not just before.
