First off, a little perspective: any response to a review here will be chock full of phrases like “satisfaction is our top priority” or “don’t hesitate to contact us”. Unfortunately, these promises may not hold any water. Let me start with a simple example: last July, a burned out light bulb in the kitchen (you know, that place where people deal with hot appliances and/or sharp knives), not a regular bulb but one unique to this complex. Three visits to the leasing office, each with something... akin to “we’ll take care of it”, ten days before maintenance showed up. More importantly, let’s talk $$$. Renewed my renter’s insurance two weeks early, submitted the proof through their “portal” (and I use the term loosely). Sure enough, two weeks later, get an Email from the assistant manager that my insurance has expired, I reply with a copy of my new policy, she responds that she will “pass it on to leasing”. Two more weeks pass, and I get a “you are hereby notified” memo surreptitiously slipped through my door (the preferred method of communication - sic), I’m being charged for not having insurance! Three more visits to the leasing office, each time with documented proof that I renewed my insurance, each time with a “we’ll pass it on”, yet charges keep accumulating. In the end, not only will they NOT correct THEIR mistake, they will hound you for fees and charges that are the result of THEIR mistake. So the gist is that anything having to do with your account is handled by poorly motivated, poorly paid or just plain incompetent robotic desk jockeys in New York, three time zones away, and your chances of getting any kind of fair and timely resolution to any financial issue are, as the saying goes, slim and none. Do yourself a favor and stay away from any MAXXproperties establishment.
