DON’T WALK AWAY, RUN!!
I moved in with my boyfriend who has been here for two years, and I’ve been here for four months. I’ve heard countless stories of rodents, cockroaches, spiders, and bedbugs, as well as fleas!! Thankfully we aren’t having any of those, as we have kept the place as clean as possible, but we did have an issue with maggots a couple of months ago that had been going on for months. We discovered it was because some sort of rodent died underneath our fridge, and the live maggots ate it, and the dead... maggots as well. Gnats and flies keep coming out of the drain, so we normally keep them plugged unless we need to use the sinks. They installed window a/c units into the wall that cannot be removed that weren’t meant for wall installation. As a result, our living room wall that is closest to the outside, has severe water damage that is making pockets in the walls. We had a mold issue in the bathroom, and the range & vent in the kitchen and bathroom do not work, therefore the water goes into the walls. It’s so bad that I will be sending a letter to the next person that moves in after we leave this place, to warn them of what to expect. I have had to literally scrub the walls, and the ceilings. The place was disgusting and it took me almost 3 months of cleaning almost everyday in order to try to get the place into some kind of shape. My boyfriend works constantly, so he hasn’t been able to do anything. The landlord hardly responds to complaints and requests for maintenance, and lately a lot of people have been leaving. We also have a leak in our ceiling that hasn’t been fixed, and once we leave, we’re reporting our unit. It’s not worth the money they’re asking, in fact to me, this is almost uninhabitable. At least the landlord is nice, but I’m warning everyone that I can to run far away from this one!

Cockroaches
I lived there for about 2 months. In that time, our front door, which had clearly done so in the past cracked, and was never repaired, and there were a terrible amount of cockroaches in our building, with neighbors complaining as well. The landlord is nice, the place was well insulated and the heat worked well, but the bugs are a horrible nuisance.
