The Elwood

I love it here. The staff are warm and helpful. Any maintenance is completed promptly. One-line rent payment is easy. It is a wonderful pace to see bunnies, birds, and hear the frogs sing at night. It is family/kid/elder/pet friendly (I’m in the elder category).

At first glance these apartments look beautiful, but once you've been inside one for longer than a tour you can tell they were slapped together quickly. The closet doors constantly fall off, like, all the way off, the sliding doors to the washers/dryer don't fit properly and the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. There is also almost no visitor parking. I think there are four spots for the entire complex. There are a handful of spots that belong to the neighboring community, but... you risk being towed parking there, and there are no nearby side streets. If you're a two car household, good luck. The apartments have a great layout and the staff is friendly and responsive.

I have lived here for 7 months, and have been pretty happy. I was concerned about moving into an apartment (I have always lived in houses), but have been pleasantly surprised with the management and maintenance teams, as well as overall cleanliness and sound levels. The only drawback is guests sometimes park in the tenant designated spaces which can be a pain, but I imagine that is an issue at any apartment complex.
