The Livingston

A circa 1920's apartment building in the West Park Historic District of the City of Allentown, PA. The building had been vacant for several years until a new own (Hyman Properties) bought it. There is a grand entry foyer, an original elevator, and six floors of apartments. My apartment features refinished inlaid hardwood floors, a new galley kitchen with granite countertops, updated bath with original tile and an oversized original bathtub. Windows were updated throughout the apartments but... high ceilings and wall trim were retained. The apartment is a great backdrop for my family and auction obtained antique furniture as well as art work collected over years along the east coast. The crowning glory is a covered roof top patio with beautiful views of the Lehigh Valley. Close enough to walk to work and enjoy all the new establishments downtown has to offer! I had the priviledge of my apartment being included in this year's West Park Historic Home Tour earlier this summer. Retirement in the not to distant future may necessitate a move to something smaller due to limited retirement funds available. I will sorely miss my wonderful apartment.
