this place is not that great all units don't have a/c the property manager was really rude when I came at my time to look at the units they had open. The halls smell like urine and a cat box.

This apartment building is the perfect mix of low key students, young professionals, and some older people. There is easy access to maintenance, and coin laundry is conveniently located in the basement. The apartments here have beautiful wood floors, and with only the electric bill to pay, the rent is great for the amount of space. You can get a nice sized studio with a separate kitchen, huge closet, and large storage area for $795. While this building does allow pets, it is nice and quiet here,... especially if you live on the top floor. There is also ample street parking.

The Spruce Hill neighborhood is absolutely beautiful, leafy and green, with nice shops and restaurants a five minute walk away on Baltimore Ave. Clark Park is also within walking distance, and Upenn is fairly close. It's a 10 minute walk or less to the blue line at 46th and Market, for a quick ride into center city. The Fresh Grocer is about a mile away, open 24 hours, and has a free parking garage with a purchase validation.

Also within a two minute walk of the building you can find a huge dollar store, a fresh produce bodega, a beer distributer, and various types of restaurants including Chinese, pizza, burgers, Italian, seafood, and more.

The only cons to this building are that there are no elevators, so be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs if you live on the 3rd or 4th floor. The ovens/stovetops are small in the apartments, and the cabinets aren't the prettiest, but unless you are a hard core chef then it shouldn't be a big deal for you. Lastly, I have seen the occasional cockroach, but the owner sent someone to exterminate immediately when I indicated a problem. Read More
