Fishtown Flats 1

I lived at Fishtown Flats for nearly 3 years (June 2023-March 2026). I moved out 3 months ago in March 2026. RUN AWAY. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE.

But if you're willing to entertain it, demand to see a copy of their rental license and make sure it's current. They did not have one for almost 8 months by the time I left and were illegally collecting my rent.

I didn't get my security deposit back, not that I expected they would give it to me.

No maintenance is done to the property.... Management is impossible to get ahold of. They do not answer phone calls, texts, or emails. Even maintenance tickets through the portal do not get answered.

The elevators are dangerous and often out of order. The fire alarm goes off frequently for no reason. The sprinklers leaked. There was a flood on the fifth floor of the 1427 building in April of 2025 and they never did anything to repair the damaged units or repair the damage to the hallway and the elevators.

It's a pity, because the first two years I lived here was lovely. I had few complaints. But the last year was so terrible, I left as quickly as I could. Read More

I lived here briefly while selling my house last year. Here's what I experienced.
They waived the pet fee for me.
I really appreciated the on site gym and rooftop deck. All units have a washer/dryer. Now the bad stuff. The whole 6-7 months I stayed, only 1 of 2 elevators worked (the working one regularly got stuck on the 2nd floor). The parking lot gate only worked 2 days, so it was common for people to take your parking spot. You still have to pay for gated parking though. The sensor thing on... the rear door of the building is almost falling off. A package was taken from the mailroom and our outgoing mail never arrived at it's destination, so we stopped using the mailroom for important stuff.
Two apps are required to live here. As a personal preference, my husband and I hated having to use our phones to gain entrance to things. But you may love it. If you ever forget it, you're locked out of your apartment and building. And even though I gave the required 90 day notice to move out, I never got my sec deposit back. Nor did I receive any response to letters I sent to management about it.

There are multiple issues with this property. Chiefly that the owner and property management company doesn’t care to maintain it and they don’t pay out security deposits on time

Building is falling apart . Instead of fixing current issues, they keep moving people in. Packages constantly stolen in “secure mail room” . There is no urgency when it comes to repairs and addressing issues. Good luck getting in touch with property manager. Owner is in this for a check and doesn’t care about the quality he is providing.
