Manayunk is a great neighborhood to live in if you are just moving to Philadelphia. There is always something going on and it's a quick train ride to the city. That being said if I could go back in time I would have saved years off my life by renting with another property management company. The apartment itself is decent, a two bedroom with basic amenities for $1250. However, the walkways are never shoveled in the winter, the windows are so old that once it goes below 40 you have to get dressed... in the bathroom even with the heat on, the maintenance man has left our apartment door unlocked twice and the response time to emergencies such as a pipe bursting takes a few days. That being said, save yourself the hassle!
