Residences at Woodlawn

I had a really bad experience with both the leasing and property managers. The whole process is confusing as well as misleading. Down to even the tour of the unit was rushed and I felt like I didn't even get time to fully look at each room. At the end we were rushed out because the tour guide had to rush to a meeting that was starting.
They charge you pro rated rent, even for time that you are not going to live in the actual unit, and they argue with you saying that everything was stated in… paperwork, but what they say is not found anywhere in any documents. The amount of customer service from Dalkey Management is absolutely awful and will never recommend any apartment complexes managed by them. I was never given any sympathy towards my confusion and simply reached out to a Senior property manager for help, only to have them tell me that they have looked at all email exchanges and listened to all recorded phone conversations and that they do not know where the confusion happened because everything was explained. However, nothing was explained to us, we were simply only emailed documents to sign without anyone explaining what things meant. I really wish that I was given any type of option or at least for them to tell me to just come in and go over everything before its finalized.
In the end, it took the senior property manager 2 days at a time to reach out to me when I was trying to reach out and figure out multiple issues that had come up. I even asked for anyone higher up like an owner to speak to, but was told "the owners do not speak to people."

Any one that is looking for a great experience at the place where they will call home, look else where, I guarantee you will have red flags from the beginning. I would give 0 stars if I could. Read More

I've now been living in my new apartment for a week, and it has indeed been the easiest move-in experience I've had in all my years of apartment living.
