ROACH MOTEL
I chose Terra House because I was new to Nashville, and at first the location and advertised price seemed like a great value. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.
My first apartment had a severe cockroach infestation. I reported the problem repeatedly, and the unit was treated approximately 10 times while I lived there with no luck. Because I couldn't terminate my lease without penalty, my only option was to transfer to another unit in the same building. That transfer cost me... about $800 out of pocket. Unfortunately, the second unit also had cockroaches, so I spent nearly my entire 13-month lease dealing with the same issue despite numerous maintenance requests and pest control treatments.
Move-out was equally frustrating as I was hit with $200 in move out fees for days I did not even live in the unit- don't even think about asking for your security deposit back :)
My advice to anyone considering Terra House is to look beyond the advertised rent. The lower monthly price wasn't worth the ongoing pest issues, the cost of transferring units, and the lack of resolution after repeated reports. There are many other apartments in Nashville where management is more responsive and tenants don't have to spend over a year dealing with a persistent cockroach infestation.
