Extremely central location, 1 mile to downtown and walkable with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries, shops etc. This is the center of all the East Austin action, RIGHT on 6th Street (but on the quiet end!).

Lots of natural light flows in from the huge windows, and vintage light fixtures hang from the open metal-beam ceiling. The loft is on the second floor, in a very secure locked building with an intercom entry system. There is no elevator, stairs only (one flight). One covered/secure parking spot inside the gate, with free street parking available as well. Open industrial style loft, with the living/dining/sleeping areas in one large space with high ceilings and exposed metal rafters. One nice size closet and unit also comes with a large freestanding wardrobe for much additional clothing and storage space. The wrap-around balcony is a lovely spot to chill with coffee or a glass of wine.

This is an extremely artsy neighborhood on the very creative East side of Austin, filled with entrepreneurs, art studios, boutiques, bars, urban farms and some of the best restaurants in town. The complex is a multi-use, live/work development with businesses on the ground floor. Neighbors include photographers, artists, sculptors, screenwriters, film directors and more. The complex has 6 buildings, all around a very large interior courtyard with lots of green space, a covered pavilion, common areas with tables and chairs, and an organic garden.

All in all, a cool urban loft in the most happening part of Austin, where you can walk to lots of things and get downtown very easily, especially via the B-cycle station outside my door, numerous bike/scooter sharing, Car2Go, pedicab and rideshare such as Uber or Fare. Blackbird Fitness is just 3 blocks away, and for yoga I recommend Stretch and Practice yoga studios, both on 6th street between my condo and I-35. There's no better place to be downtown/east side - you can walk to several awesome food trucks, restaurants, coffee shops, craft breweries, bars and shops within 2 blocks of the loft; and many, many more within a 6-8 block radius.
