Awful Complex
I have lived at Westdale Creek for just over 5 years now purely out of necessity. I have not had another apartment in Austin that I had so many issues with. The other reviews all cover the same thing because they are all accurate. The water is constantly being shut off for emergencies, often for full days at a time. The pest problem on site with fruit flies, roaches and rats is disgusting. I had to report mold in my unit on two separate occasions, the first time they tried to convince me that it... wasnt mold that it was just the HVAC was dirty. Water leaked behind the wall in the restroom so much it bubbled the paint on the wall and was left like that.
The "amenities" are never fully functioning. The pool closed for months, they removed the restroom and tenants were urinating off the side of the deck. The laundry room very often out of order, machines will stop working and you will not be refunded, dryers will leave burn marks on your clothing.
My AC went out several times while living here.
I was charged a non-refundable pet fee for an ESA and was told it would be refunded after their "lawyers reviewed it" and after reaching out several times I was never refunded and the "lawyers" never confirmed my ESA.
This place will charge tenants fees for the most ridiculous things. The maintenance guys are very sweet and work very hard but there is only so much they can do. Juan in the office was polite, but mostly ineffective in the issues. The communication from maintenance/the office was abysmal. People who enter or attempt to enter my unit without notice, often times 3rd party workers/vendors.
I know the rent is cheap, but raising. There are other cheap places that aren't literally falling apart, save yourself the headache and pick somewhere else.

POOR MANAGEMENT
If i could rate this complex zero stars i would. The first interaction we had with the staff in the office should’ve alerted me to their level of unprofessionalism. Not only did the apartment smell of cat urine we were called “crazy” and “stupid”. The leasing agent then proceeded to walk away from us and leave. after returning to the office on our own the door was found to be locked. when we knocked the manager opened the door only to be rude. when asked to repair mold and carpets throughout the... apartment.

I've only been at the apartment for a month and, so far, no complaints. The office staff was nice and helpful when first moving in.
