Cockroaches! The pools aren't working, and the gym is closed!
I live in a two-story, two-bedroom apartment. We’ve been trying to get rid of cockroaches for six months, but they keep coming back from the neighbors! There’s a constant smell of marijuana! The place is old and run-down, and the hot water runs out in five minutes! The stovetop doesn't work; there are three pools on the property, but two are locked shut (people have to climb over the gates). The gym has also been closed for six months! Don't move here—it's a dump! They drive you around in a cart... to show you the grounds, but they don't tell you that none of those amenities are actually available!

Don’t waste your time.
This apartment looks great on paper, but once you move in, the problems never end. Whether it be incomplete renovations of your unit at move in, ancient AC units that cost literal hundreds to run in the cold and hot seasons despite your electric company, a leasing office that will never pick up the phone, or pools that are impossible to use due to locked gates or what seems like constant cleaning, this apartment and its management never fail to amaze me with how many inconveniences it has to... offer. Not to mention the false promises of time frames for key cards, mailbox repairs, and fitness center availability. The hours for the fitness center make no sense, and are really not even worth using with broken or missing equipment. The only decent thing is the pickleball courts. Can’t comment on the pool because I haven’t been able to use them. The dog park is horrendous and always covered in dog poop. The community centers are always locked and the dog wash station only has cold water. Just don’t even bother unless you’re desperate and just need a roof over your head for cheap. But you’ll get what you pay for. Can’t wait to move out.

Great Place to Call Home!
I'm excited to be part of The Monte community! I can't say enough about the application process; they were quick and responsive. The property provides a comfortable, spacious living environment; windows bring in plenty of sunlight. The upgraded renovations were just what I needed. The community leasing staff is pleasant and helpful. My leasing assistant, Glismary (Glis), is kind, patient, attentive to detail, and made sure the move-in experience went smoothly.
I just moved into The Monte. I... can't say enough about the application process. It was quick and efficient.
I'm looking forward to enjoying the pickleball court, the basketball court, and the community centers. The Monte grounds are nicely well-kept, being among the best I've seen in the area. It's great for a single person or a couple with pets. I really like having the Katie Jackson Park and Bike Trail right next to the property!

Terrible place to rent
I have been renting for close to 20 years and The Monte on Haverwood in Dallas was the worse experience I have ever encountered. If I could give it minus stars I would. I have documented proof of the following: cars broken into, window broken into, mailbox broken into, police activity every week including gun fire, loud music, cars racing around parking lot, water pipes bursting and flooding apartments, people leaving trash bags busted open on breezeways and sidewalks, school age children... hiding in back of buildings smoking weed, vaping and drinking. Motorbikes being driven behind buildings in grass. As far as support by management and office staff, they have promising to do something and then doing absolutley nothing down to an art form. They never followed up on one issue. Not one. I reported issues with video and pictures and they did nothing. It was so bad and I felt so unsafe I moved out of apartment the last month. And even though I had paid the rent in full they started coming into my apartment and removing appliances. They refused to give back any of the rent for that month even though they made it where you couldn't possibly stay there. You won't get refunds and you won't get deposits back. Your vehicle's will get damaged. You will get zero support from management.
