My first month living here

I’ve lived at 8500 Harwood for a little over a month now, and honestly, I’m starting to wonder if some of these reviews are for the same property.

My experience has been completely different. My neighbors are wonderful, the community is extremely quiet, and I work from home, so I really appreciate how peaceful it is.

For such a large property, I’m impressed with how well the grounds are maintained. Trash is regularly picked up, the property is cleaned daily, and I have never seen the… overflowing, disgusting trash situation described in some of the reviews. Yes, you may occasionally see a piece of trash or a pile of dog poop because, apparently, we still have humans and dogs living here. But overall, the property is very clean.

I also haven’t had any issues with bugs in my building. I haven’t seen a roach, spider, or anything else crawling around since moving in. I do keep my patio and entry area clean and spray occasionally myself, so I’m sure that helps.

The office staff has also been friendly, professional, and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. I had an issue with my parking space when I moved in, and it was resolved very quickly.

Even the payment portal complaints surprised me. I’m still learning the system myself, but I find it easy to read and understand. Any mistakes I’ve made have definitely been user error.

I know everyone’s experience can be different, but after living here for over a month, I genuinely don’t understand some of the negativity. So far, my experience has been quiet, clean, friendly, and very positive.

I’m happy I moved here.

Awful Services + Pest Issues

Stupid difficult to get into contact with an actual human agent on the phone, and even if you do manage to speak with someone on the phone or in person, no issues are ever addressed.

Maintenance and Pest services take weeks, if ever addressed.

Complex is a joke.

Their "renovated" units are just a landlord special. Drawers and door trimmings are chewed. Paint over everything. Maintenance people are nice but not knowledgable. We are currently having a leak from upstairs and maintenance guys claimed it's because of them leaving a puddle of water on the ground? To save yourself the sanity, don't move here.

don’t move here

edit after living here a month: this apartment complex is a joke. they don’t call you back. they don’t care about there residents. they don’t do there jobs. the “4 sparkling pools” are constantly closed. one is permanently closed. they are argumentative. maintenance comes in without calling first even though you request that. one of the maintenance workers i caught mistreating his own animals so don’t trust them with yours. i’ve never lived in a apt so frustrating. within my first month of… living here i needed to put in 13 different maintenance requests to my “ready to move in apt”. and there was a leak from my upstairs neighbors. just one thing after another here. oh anddd the dog park is DISGUSTING. poop everywhere. on top of all this my dog somehow got a hold of a drug at said dog park and had a seizure. very scary. also the pool is GREEN

Not worth it

Literally maybe been here for a month and it’s been nothing but terrible. So unprofessional with literally everything. Our apartment got flooded twice literally not even 2 weeks into moving in and had to wait 2 weeks for a response about our flooding. Its obviously not serious in there eyes. Ask them if there was anything they could do for us since since all our clothes and bed got messed up. There response was we can do something if you have receipts. Respectfully who keeps receipts for things… bought that long ago even 3 4 months ago. Been waiting for them fix still hasnt been fixed. No reason for us to be here longer then this 1 year lease we under. We appreciate the staff when we first signed our lease because they were nice and all but that doesnt cover the disaster weve had to deal with no even a month in.
