Bear Creek at Harwood Apartments

The staff really go above and beyond for us. They treat us like family. The pool is a great place to hang out on a hot summer day. I love my neighbors. Everyone is always saying "hi" and waving. Its just a really place to live. I'm really happy here!

The staff is horrible! Doesn’t appear that they’re here to work for their clients. I had my air conditioning go out in mid summer and it took a week to fix and more than three days for it to be acknowledged as a problem. No follow ups on progress of fix until I reached out, apparently there was a part they had to order and never told me that it wouldnt be fixed the same or even the next day. There were other issues related to water leaks and again poor follow up and zero empathy.

“Newly... rennovated” means painted countertops, cabinets, tile and bathroom porcelain with actually new flooring and appliances. The paint came off of the sink and shower in globs.

Recently I had an emergency and the office staff responded so quickly, I was SHOCKED! Then in this stressful situation, the maintenance staff handled me like I was their family with very quick service and kind spirits. Not only does the staff go above and beyond here, they have a 3rd party organization called the Cares Team that puts together biweekly events to make it even more of a fun living environment. All off the residents know each other, we hang out, eat great food that they make for us,... get pictures taken with Santa, the list could go on and on! I love it here. Read More

This property hands down is one of the nicer in the Bear Creek area and has the most amenities anyone has to offer. Every floor plan is thoughtfully laid out. They have a gorgeous pool, cute dog park, BBQ areas, great fitness center.....their spacious 2 bedroom unit offers tons of of closet space, lots of windows, great on site management and more! This should be your next home! You wont' be disappointed!

I live at Bear Creek at Harwood, formally the Resort, for 3 years now and love it!!! I was first in a 2 bedroom beautiful apartment and then down sized to a 1 bedroom. I love my apartment - from the floor plan, to the large deck, to the big bedroom with a bay window. In the fall of 2015 the property changed ownership and it was the BEST thing that the apartments could have ever done, as the complex was declining quickly. When the new owners purchased the property they completely overhauled... the entire complex: new siding, new two-toned paint, new pool area including lounge chairs, tables, grill, a new laundry facility and a really nice gym which is open 24x7. According to the property, all units are upgraded as the old tenants move out. I have an old unit with nice carpet and I love it. I have always praised the way the grounds have been kept. When I first looked at the apartment the office staff said that I would love the pool and the grounds and they were right – it’s so beautiful!!

The new management is fantastic, the office staff is so friendly and the maintenance team is fast and knowledgeable – they actually fix issues rather than rigging them to work temporally. The Property Manager, Marielena, is one of the best managers I have ever dealt with. She’s engaged; serious about fixing any issue that is brought to her attention no matter what or when, she’s honest about what she can/can’t do, she’s easy to work with and prompt – she’s the BEST!!! I believe that you can tell when someone truly cares or if they are just going through the motions - she cares and it shows!!! I also want to say how great the Cares Team is as well. They are very creative in coming up with fun activities for the residents and their family throughout the year.

Again, I can’t say it enough … this is a great place to live – it’s quite, safe, diverse, spacious, clean, a great location right off the highway (20 mins to downtown Dallas & 20 mins to downtown FW) and the apartments are spaced out where you have lots of privacy.
