Horrible experience
I rarely leave reviews, but future renters deserve to know what we experienced at Arco Pilare.
For most of the summer, our second floor had little to no cool air. This was reported multiple times. Maintenance made repeated attempts but never actually resolved the issue. We ultimately had to purchase multiple portable AC units out of pocket just to make the space livable.
Maintenance was also in our unit nearly every month for one reason or another, and on several occasions the notice... provided was very short. The constant disruptions and lack of lasting fixes became extremely frustrating.
Trash overflow and property cleanliness were ongoing problems. We also experienced repeated power and Wi-Fi outages during our stay.
Pest control was another serious concern. We dealt with mice while living here and at one point found a dead mouse directly at our front door. That should never happen in a properly maintained community.
Before moving out, we took the time to thoroughly clean the unit. Despite that, management still attempted to charge us for what were clearly normal use items. We were literally charged for holes from hanging curtains, mounting TVs, and using standard nails for paintings. When we raised concerns and referenced Texas Property Code regarding normal wear and tear, there was no meaningful effort to correct the charges.
Overall, the pattern we experienced was slow or ineffective resolution of major issues, frequent disruptions, poor property upkeep, and questionable move-out billing practices. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage prospective renters to do thorough research before signing a lease here.
