Not every day anywhere is perfect, but this community has improved greatly and the staff here(in my experience) are usually quick to respond and easy to engage with. Grounds are cleaner and more manicured and it's a fairly quiet and lovely community! Also, my recent lease renewal process - I'm staying another year, was flawless.

I rarely leave reviews, but after months of waiting with no resolution, I feel it’s important to share my experience.

I submitted maintenance requests for tub resurfacing and carpet shampoo nearly three months ago, shortly after renewing my lease for another year. Despite multiple follow-up emails, I have received no response from the leasing manager. More recently, I raised concerns about duct cleaning, which is now impacting my health, and again — no acknowledgment or action has been taken... .

I have made several attempts to get a simple update or schedule a meeting, but meaningful communication has been completely lacking. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy — even not responding to emails — is unacceptable, especially when health concerns are involved.

Tenants deserve timely communication and accountability, neither of which I have experienced here. I sincerely hope this review encourages management to take residents concerns more seriously.

I’ve admired Old Farm Apartments since 2015, often passing by and dreaming of living here. In 2020, I finally moved in, but I’ve stayed more out of convenience than satisfaction. Unfortunately, the building has declined over the years (despite some efforts to improve), but the management's services fall short in many areas. For example, they charge $65 a month for unreliable internet, which forces me to pay for a separate, more affordable service to work from home without constant disruptions... .

They also charge $40 a month for trash pickup—something I could easily manage myself—but they refuse to remove it from the lease agreement. It feels like they’re more interested in profit than providing quality service. They stop giving you courtesy services such as cleaning your carpet or touching up the paint when you renew your lease.

My recent conversation with the leasing office only confirmed this, as I learned they’ve raised late fees to 10%, despite my four years of loyalty as a tenant. Emergencies? They show no empathy or flexibility. Whether it’s an internet outage, a hurricane, or a personal crisis, you're treated as just another rent check to them.

After enduring this treatment for so long, I’ve decided enough is enough. When my lease ends in July 2025, I’ll be moving on to a place that actually values its tenants.

Living at Old Farm Apartment Homes has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. If you're searching for a safe, well-managed, and transparent apartment complex in Houston, this is definitely not the place for you.

The property management here takes absolutely no responsibility for anything, leaving residents to fend for themselves in an environment that feels increasingly unsafe and unwelcoming. If you value safety and security in your apartment living, avoid this complex... .

One of the most aggravating issues is the constant addition of extra charges to the monthly rent for problems that existed before move-in. Maintenance issues like broken appliances, faulty wiring, and leaky faucets are common, and instead of fixing them promptly, the management charges tenants for repairs that should have been addressed before occupancy.

Additionally, the issue of stolen packages is rampant.Parcels are constantly being taken from the mailroom or left unattended in common areas, and management does nothing to address this ongoing problem. To make matters worse, there have been incidents of car thefts, which have left many of us feeling insecure about the safety of our vehicles.

To top it all off, the management forces tenants to use a specific internet service provider with exorbitantly high charges. There's no option to choose a more affordable or reliable service, leaving us stuck with poor connectivity at an inflated cost.

If you're searching for an apartment in Houston that offers good value, reliable management, and a safe living environment, look elsewhere. Overall, Old Farm Apartment Homes is a nightmare to live in, with a management team that is unresponsive, negligent, and deceptive. I would strongly advise anyone considering moving here to think twice.
