please look into another apartment complex
I have lived at this property for 7 months, and my experience has raised serious concerns regarding basic maintenance, safety, and habitability.
From the day I moved in, there has been a persistent roach infestation that has never been fully resolved despite multiple pest control treatments. Ongoing pest issues should not be considered a normal condition of rental housing.
I have also experienced more than five plumbing-related problems during my tenancy. On one occasion, there was water... covering my bathroom floor. When maintenance initially responded, I was told it was due to me taking a shower. However, the issue continued, confirming it was a plumbing defect rather than normal use. Recurring water intrusion raises concerns about sanitation and potential structural damage. While temporary fixes have been attempted, the issues continue to reoccur.
The front gate is frequently broken, which directly impacts resident safety. There was a documented incident where an intoxicated individual attempted to enter my apartment. I provided video evidence to management, but there was no meaningful follow-up or visible corrective action taken. Secure premises are a basic expectation for residents.
Additionally, while I was out due to a medical procedure, I left my key with my sister. During that time, the lock malfunctioned and would not allow entry. I was told I would need to pay for a locksmith, despite the issue appearing to be a lock defect rather than misuse. The interaction with management regarding this matter was unprofessional and dismissive.
Communication overall has been extremely limited. Calls are not returned, emails go unanswered, and attempts to escalate concerns have not resulted in resolution.
Texas law requires landlords to maintain rental properties in a condition that materially affects the health and safety of tenants. Unfortunately, that standard has not been consistently met in my experience here.
After seven months of ongoing issues, this has not been a safe or comfortable place to call home.
