Amanda grew up in McAllen, Texas and moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M. After graduating with an Agriculture Business degree, Amanda married her college sweetheart and moved to Austin in 2000. Amanda started her career working for a high-end production home builder on the construction side. This has helped Amanda learn how builders operate and what goes into building a home, giving her a distinct advantage in the new construction sector. In 2003, Amanda decided to flip sides and become a Realtor®. For the first two years of her Real Estate career, Amanda worked on a large team. Amanda is thankful for the opportunity as it was a fantastic learning experience and launched her into a referral business that has been maintained for 18 years. Amanda is renowned for being a collaborative negotiator and is always looking for a win-win, which is not to be confused with a 50/50 split. After training as a Certified Negotiation Expert, Amanda has learned to approach negotiations with a different mindset as well as recognize tactics the other side is using and work around it.
