Poor management

Management used to be good, the office manager has changed several times and the people they have now do not know what they are doing. You have to give 60 days notice to leave this complex. When I went to give notice I was told that since I would probably be able to move out before the 60 days that I needed to wait to give notice until I knew my exact move out date. ( this is not in the lease, but I was told I had to give a date) so against my better judgment I waited 2 weeks to give the... official notice. I moved out and was legally liable to pay the rent for half of the rent for the next month if there wasn't a new tenant found. I was told that they had a new tenant and they were moving in a week after I was out. The office Manager said she would keep me updated (which she never did. I had to call for several updates. I called again after I moved to make sure the tenant had moved in. If they hadn't I knew a neighbor of mine that wanted the place and was willing to move in right away. I was told the person they had given my apartment to wasn't moving in until the middle of the next month now and that I would be liable for the rent up to that point. They said the person moving in couldn't pay the rent for the whole month that month. Well I told them the apartment was ready before then and it should go to someone else who was ready to move in when it was available. Like any other apartment complex would do. But they don't care about you personally, they get to pick the person moving in and will make you pay for the empty apartment just because they can. So then there is the fact that my initial telling them of the move happened 2 weeks prior to the actual letter. I was told by THEM that I HAD TO WAIT. Which was not true. Instead of them working with me and saying fine we will just have you pay for 4 days which would be what the 60 days notice would have gone to, they said no your lease says you are obligated it doesn't matter what I told you. I was given a phone number for the main property manager and have left several messages and she won't call me back. They just told me they would take what I owed out of my deposit. I would never work with these people again. They have no idea what they are doing they have no integrity and they don't care about you. I would not recommend living here.

Terrible Management

The management here used to be really good but it has gone way downhill recently. I do not recommend living here unless you want to be lied to and taken advantage of. We've moved out, fortunately, but now they are trying to keep half of our security deposit for things we were told we would not be charged for. The management doesn't care about you, they are not consistent and they are always going back on their word. It's hard to get ahold of them or get them to do anything at all really. Look... somewhere else for an apartment in SLC!
