Elms Kingstowne

I am in a 1 bedroom with a loft. At move in the shower did not work properly. It was Saturday so I waited until a weekday to have it repaired. I think they should have checked everything before I moved in. The virtual tour shows a ceiling fan in the loft. There is not one, so the loft is very hot. The complex is old, so there are odd things. For instance, the shower knob is wrong. Cold is the hot water, hot is the cold water. There is packing tape holding things together under the dishwasher.… There is also packing tape holding things together on the front door. The verticle blinds for the sliding glass door have pieces missing and don't work very well. The pool broke as soon as I moved in and was closed for the rest of summer. The dumpster is in the middle of the complex, so sometimes the parking lot smells. As soon as I enter the complex my phone drops from 5G to 4G. So I don't have great phone service. Read More

I lived at Elms for about two years. I transferred from one unit to another within the two years. I’ll start off with describing what the pros & cons, as any apartment complex will have. The pros include how wonderful the community is with the amount of trails, schools, restaurants, parks & stores there are. The apartments felt very home like, which we loved. Very spacious! Now, we move to the cons. Before you settle in the apartment, make sure to take photos of everything you see that’s either… stained, not working & damaged. From the wall to floor to other items in the apartment we noticed were all cheap material. Paint chips off easily and the carpet is already old to start off. We had a good transition transferring to another unit but when it came for us to leave the complex, it got a little complicated. Our second unit had damages prior to us moving in that we wrote on a checklist to the leasing office (we even took photos). Come time to leave, management charges additional fees to items that were already damaged. The last con to it all would be the communication from management. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t horrible. Overall I would just recommend to new renters to be observant (document everything!) of the apartment you get as they will try to get $$ for the already damaged items in your unit. Read More

I have been very impressed with the professional service and responsiveness of the team at Elms at Kingstowne taking care of anything that I need assistance with and for listening to there residents.

I’ve lived in this community for a little over a year and it’s the first place that really felt like home. The maintenance team is respectful, helpful and responsive. The leasing office staff is also extremely responsive and helpful. The apartment itself is really spacious and very well kept. I’ve got great neighbors as well. Such a quiet and very well kept community. Also, their response to covid was really great.
