TERRIBLE
Hi, I have to say I'm very disappointed I had high hopes that Andorra was finally going to be the place for us. We came at the appointment time that we agreed upon and we waited 15 minutes just for the mailwomen to let us know the woman we thought we were going to see had went to lunch. After leaving because we were on a very short time schedule (we had to schedule during our lunch because THEY stated that we needed to make an earlier appointment during the week because of a deal we couldn't... miss), I received a call from Elizabeth telling me she had to leave because of an "emergency". If this is any indication of the treatment that we'd be receiving as a tenant this is NOT the place to move.

Good case study in the Seattle-area housing crisis
Our rent has gone up $525 in 5 years...and yet we had a leak in the same spot that was "fixed" 6 times and it eventually led to an ant infestation in the crack where the leak was. There's so much condensation on the toilet that it regularly creates a puddle of water -- the maintenance guy condescendingly lectured *me* for it because literally one day without keeping a towel around the toilet caused water to drip down on the neighbors below us. All of the doors/curtains/appliances are cheap and... they break easily. There are no washer/driers in the units and the machines in the laundry room (two per 4-floor building) break often and don't get fixed quickly. There's a nice, large, open grass area, HOWEVER the largest area is flooded year-round from watering it so you can't use that portion, and for most of the year the walkways are completely covered by goose poop.
The staff is hit and miss. The good ones usually get promoted to a complex the company actually cares about. But even with the good ones who stay longer-term, the focus is so clearly on selling (well, renting) units and responding to current residents is a distant runner-up. This is most exemplified by the fact that, even though the buildings are deteriorating, they put their energies and resources into remodeling the clubhouse (the primary place to host prospective residents).
...which brings me to my last point: the residents. For the first 9 months we lived here, the neighbors below us hot-boxed in their bathroom, making our entire apartment smell like cheap marijuana (and we had 2 kids in the apartment with us) -- despite complaining often, nothing was ever really addressed and they continued this until they were fortunate enough to move out of here. This place attracts some interesting people -- in 2015 there was a massive brawl out by the pool with someone pulling out a gun and the police had to come. There are constant car break-ins, laundry often gets stolen, the TVs and weights have been stolen from the clubhouse more than once in my 5 years here. There's been known heroin activity a few doors down from me for at least 2-3 years and they're still there. I've seen multiple drug deals in the parking lot when I get home late. There was a strung out guy who once knocked on my door from 3 to 7 am because he was convinced his girlfriend was there -- I called security and 911 and all they did was pass me off to each other.
One last detail: the walls/floors are soooo thin.

You get what you pay for...unless you're renting in western Washington
The in-house maintenance is great. They respond immediately which is good because you will call them; often. Since we've lived here our ceiling and windows have leaked rain water into our apartment (not on the top floor) repeatedly and we've also had a couple other minor issues that could happen at any complex much less an old apartment complex like this one. In all cases the maintenance crew has responded in under 30 minutes and have been very professional, polite, and really seemed to want to... fix the problem. And though sometimes, like in the case of a difficult leaky roof, it might understandably take an extra attempt, they do a good job. Maintenance is the only reason this place even deserves a star.
The office staff is also very polite (even when they're blowing you off), but not nearly as effective. They must have a lot of issues to deal with because emails sent to alert them of a problem regularly go without a response and every time I talk to the staff in-person about an issue (which has been three times in three years) they are very dismissive. When trying to address a noise complaints, and broken washers and dryers (that you have to pay to use) i have been told who I can call to get the problem resolved. Isn't that part of why we pay rent? It's a little frustrating that they don't see that taking the time to try and resolve these issues is an inconvenience to start with.
Aside from the issue with the staff the buildings themselves have issues too. If you tour the complex during the day, just know that it tends to be considerably more noisy at night (the u-shaped construction amplifies sound), and if you're a non-smoker you might need to keep your windows closed as, again because of the way the buildings are constructed, cigarette smoke from your neighbors will blow into your apartment through open windows/ sliding doors, presenting a no win situation in the summer. If the neighbors below smoke in their bathroom you will be able to smell it in yours as well. And then there's the noise from your neighbors... It's simple, if they're doing anything you're likely to hear it clearly; in the bathroom, in the bedroom, you get the idea. Also the trees in the upper lot drip pitch onto your car in the summer.
Overall, there is just too many things wrong with this place to make it a good value for the money. We are looking forward to moving as soon as possible.
