Decorating Your Thanksgiving Table

Decorating Your Thanksgiving Table

Do you need new ideas on how to decorate your Thanksgiving table this year? I watched a 5-minute video on Videopedia featuring fun creative projects that can be done with your family! Preparing for the holidays is often the time you spend the most quality time with your loved ones. Check out a few creative projects to add to your family holiday traditions!

  • Thanksgiving Place Card Holders. Make personalized place card holders for your guests! First, purchase small autumn colored glass bottles for each guest; shades of yellow, brown, dark red, dark orange and hunter green will be perfect! Cut out images of your guests and paste them on small tags to hang around the neck of the bottles. On the back of each tag write a little message of why you’re thankful for that guest. How cute is this idea!?
  • Thanksgiving Decorations. Set the mood with Thanksgiving décor to place on your Thanksgiving table. Purchase green apples and cut a hole at the top. Allow just enough space for a tea light. This creative décor will look beautiful on your table and is the Thanksgiving way of having a candlelit dinner. Also, consider purchasing sunflowers to place on the table. Make sure to cut off the stem so they lay flat on the table.
  • Setting the table. Make floral placemats with leaves that you gather outside. Take the bottom of your dinner plate that you plan on using as your Thanksgiving dinner plate, place it on a piece of cardboard, and than cut out the circular piece of cardboard. As a family, go out and collect different color leaves and glue them to the cardboard to make beautiful Thanksgiving-themed placemats.
