Good place to live!
I recently moved out for personal reasons after living here for several years. I never had any trouble contacting management because they told me up front to text him if he was not in the office. It is true he is not in the office a lot but I understand because he lives there and the place is well run there is probably not much to do. They keep the place quiet and clean and they responded to repairs quickly in my experience.

Worst Experience Ever!
2 days after moving in I discovered roaches. I had to deal with the problem myself. Manager was not helpful at all. I found my own exterminator but it took months to clear out the pest problem that was certainly a pre-existing issue. Building Manager is rarely in his office and very argumentative when I express my concerns about the living conditions. I've had problems with the heater since moving in. My car was broken into and stolen from the apartment's parking lot. The manager did nothing... after telling me there were no cameras. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had.

Great Apartment Horrible Management
The maintenance dude is really chill he’s awesome to work with. However management is a joke. No one is ever at the office. The sign says open I’ve waited for almost 3 hours one time checking every 5 mins to see if the manager returns and nothing. Also don’t even expect to receive a phone call back or a text reply back from them. Horrible horrible service. I’ve been living here for almost 6 years now. They desperately need a manager because right now who ever they have working isn’t a manger at... all he’s more of a lazy guy who has keys to the park. If it wasn’t for the manager I would prolly give this place a 4 star. Rent keeps going up and you see less and less of this “management” maybe he’s going on more and more vacations. This guy needs to be gone.

Jackson Arms Apartments
Lived here for just over 2 years.
Pros:
Gated Community
Quiet Neighborhood almost never heard anyone
Units are well insulated didn’t really have to run heat that much.
Close to safeway / post office / police department
Cons:
Non existent management don’t expect them to be in the office. The open sign will be up but the door will be locked and no one will be there ever.
Expect to wait for maintence.
Parking lot is horrible lots of potholes and only expect 1 parking spot.
Expect rent... to go up only reason why it won’t be bigger is hayward rent control.
Unit in complex caught on fire in October February it still has the broken windows and is not fixed big eye sore to the building.
Overall if you can tolerate non existent management and be self sufficient this is a good place to live.

Awesome!!
I live in a gated quiet community with on site fitness and a swimming pool. The complex has one and two bedroom apartments with large closets with either a balcony or patio attached. We are five minutes from BART and downtown Hayward in one direction and Southland Mall in the other direction. Jackson Square Mall is right down the street in walking distance, which has 24 Hour Fitness, Safeway, Starbucks and CVS Pharmacy. There at three separate schools in less then a half a mile and a post... office right down the street. I doesn't get any better.
