Do not move here
One star isn’t low enough. It has been nonstop problems since move in. I have compromised a list
-Showed one apartment to us as the unit we would be renting. Was fully updated with flooring appliances ect… a week before move in pulled a switch and put us in a different unit that was not renovated, had a broken microwave door and scuffs on the floor. But the original unit wasn’t move in ready???
- One elevator has been down since early November
- The remaining working elevator has gone down... once a week at min. for 3 weeks straight.
- When the “working” elevator goes out no emergency maintenance is available to contact for access to the freight elevator despite being told we will have access and that it’s 24 hour emergency maintenance
- When instructed to contact emergency maintenance, any extensions on the apartment phone number goes to VM. They do not provide an emergency maintenance number separately
-At least 3 different washing machines and 2 dryers have been broken intermittently for months. This does not include the dryers that the doors do not latch properly
- The door to the laundry room, access by key fob, was rejecting key fobs. Again no emergency maintenance on site for the issue. The solution, prop the door open and hope someone didn’t shut it on us.
- Hallway smelled of heavy chemicals. Smell seeped into our apartment. Turns out they had used paint thinner on the floor in the apartment next to ours. It’s smelled worse in our apartment than in the hallway. We have 2 pets and they were home all day with the smell as weak. Maintenance told us to open our windows. After 3 hours of them being open the smell is not less strong in our home.
- Neighbor had flood in ,assuming their wall. Left a fan in the hallway for well over a week with a cord uncovered crossing the hall
- Issues cited at move in almost one year ago have still not been repaired
- Consistently given less than 24 hour notice for non emergency maintenance requests to the apartment
- Consistent lack of communication about the elevator issues, parking garage cleanings, randomly assigned apartment inspections for them so show the building to “potential investors “. Any notice given is done with less than 24 hrs. And typically done just before office closed for the day.
