Please think twice before moving to this place
The apartment itself was fine. The move-out process is where things go wrong.
After 3 years as a responsible tenant, I am a strict vegetarian who does not cook meat or fish and I was wrongfully charged $1,245 for "strong food odor mitigation." Vegetarian cooking aromas disappear within hours they do not linger for weeks in a vacant, cleaned apartment. The charge was based on one employee's subjective opinion and there was no professional test was ever conducted after I vacated to actually... confirm any odor existed.
When I disputed this, management could not provide any objective evidence. Yet the charge remains.
If you are a vegetarian or cook with spices, think twice. Your everyday cooking could apparently be used as justification to cut your deposit.
