Meridian Heights Apartments

Los apartamentos tienen Ratones, cucarachas, chinches. Están llenos de mojo. Me dejaron 3 semanas sin refri y sin estufa. Las condiciones son totalmente podridas.

I moved to DC about 2 years ago and still dream of finding somewhere I can call home. My fourth and most recent attempt, Meridian Heights, has proven to be the most interesting.

Have a bike that you love but are too tired to tote around with you? Not to worry! Move into Meridian Heights and have it taken from you by a stranger!

Always wanted pets but not quite sure what kind to get? Meridian Heights will solve that. Each apartment comes with a heating/air conditioning unit, stove, full tub,... AND - more fruit flies and bed bugs than you could imagine! You'll never have to spend another night alone again!

Are you a fan of music but unsure of what to listen to or when? Don't fret- your neighbors will blast all sorts of sounds at all hours of the day!

In all seriousness - you get what you pay for with this complex. It's definitely some of the most reasonable rent around, but you compensate for it in other ways. There is one maintenance man who is incredibly responsive and always happy to help - probably the best part of the building.

The management company itself seems to be competent and kind, but the individual who actually oversees the property is often absent and difficult to get ahold of.

I'm a pretty laid back person, maintain a simple lifestyle, and don't ask for much - but in the 10 months since I've moved in, I've experienced more than I had anywhere else in my adult, living independent from my parents, lifestyle. I had to move apartments due to an awfully destructive and inconsiderate neighbor, had my bike stolen from the building racks, came down with bed bugs, discovered dozens upon dozens of dead fruit flies (they were believed to be fruit flies, anyway...), and more.

The location is hard to beat which helps balance all the issues with the building. If you, like me, are looking for something affordable in one of the best parts of town - then this might be worth your gamble! Lee mas
