Lakeside Edgewater Neighborhood Apartments

This building looks fine from the outside but the inside is horrible- the main elevator has gum stuck to the walls, crude writing carved in it, and gets stuck often (and on top of that, the emergency call button doesn't work). I am embarrassed to bring people over to the building. The apartments themselves are fine but kitchens are very small and ovens are miniature. Mold in bathrooms, train is loud, and one of the apartments was recently treated for bedbugs. There are two washers and two dryers... for the entire nine story building. Lately, within the past four days the front door was broken twice and the fob entry did not work for almost 24 hours. Only some residents have physical keys to the front door and were therefore locked out. When I called to notify lakeside of the issue, they weren't concerned and just said they didn't know what was wrong. This apathetic response is typical of them. Before moving in you should know that they are just now installing fire alarms, and the building failed multiple city codes. Lakeside doesn't care much about whether residents are happy, I've had work orders in for months that still haven't been addressed. I also am unable to get out my fire escape as the window is sealed shut. They cater to students and therefore know the turnover rate is high so don't bother to try to please residents. The company is despicable and if think twice before living here or at any of their other buildings. Lee mas

I must admit, my first day was horrible. I mean i had a ton of issues but i love this apartment. Things happen sometimes but it was all worth it. Great location great apartment. Im home.....finally!!!

This building is located very to close to Loyola University Chicago. In fact it sits between two Loyola University buildings. The exterior is pleasant. The interior looks very old, the carpets smell damp, and the train makes plenty of noise.
