12 Oaks At Schaumburg

I’ve been apartment searching for my kids and I after contacting this property I received an email back from someone who should be trying to help me find a unit not find reasons why I can’t rent from them. No sense of professionalism or even respect for that matter. Would not recommend dealing with this office.

I have lived in different buildings at 12 Oaks for over 12 years. Sometimes the rent gets raised too much ($1400 and up) and I move out until the rates come down to $1200 -$1300 That usually means moving out every 3-4 years for 1 year and then coming back. The management is good but they charge you for every single repair and I don't think I should have to pay to replace 30 year old blinds. broken toilets or broken light fixtures. The owner of the townhome should be replacing or fixing... appliances and not waiting for the renter to replace it when it breaks because its 30 years old. If you move in, check everything from cabinets to blinds and door knobs and vents Either insist that they are repaired before you move in or choose another building. The grounds and lobbies are beautifully kept and snow removal is always taken care of promptly. the windows in both the apartments and lobbies leak massive amounts of water when it rains and they do not repair them. They only place plastic and duct tape on them The door knobs on both the front and back of the buildings are almost falling off, its been like that for 6 years and they don't repair them. The buildings look nice, but the expense of mainlining someone elses property along with the rent escalating has caused me to decide to move my family out permanently next spring. Lee mas
