MAA Buckhead

I felt compelled to write this review for MAA Buckhead to express my profound disappointment and disgust following my visit this week to view an apartment. I arrived with enthusiasm, eager to lease a space from this property, only to be met with the sight of the MANAGER yelling and screaming at a resident in the lobby. The manager's behavior resembled that of an uncontrolled individual arguing on the street, rather than a professional woman managing a billion-dollar property. A staff member... approached me, attempting to take me outside to discuss the situation, but I was too appalled to listen. Additionally, I witnessed another staff member trying to deescalate the situation, yet the MANAGER was too engrossed in her shouting to allow for resolution. The onlookers appeared embarrassed and ashamed to be associated with this individual. It is imperative for this property to reassess its management, as they are the first point of contact for potential residents. I intend to share this experience widely on social media, as this marks the second occasion this year that I have encountered unprofessional behavior from a woman in the front office of this property. DO NOT MOVE HERE. IT IS NOT SAFE.
This community deserves negative stars! For the second time, my apartment was entered without my authorization or direct notification, and I returned home to find my front door left completely unsecured. My home was left open and accessible to anyone. There was no phone call, email, or courtesy notice before or after entry explaining why my apartment was accessed or confirming it had been secured. That is an unacceptable failure of resident safety.
This isn't... about an emergency—it's about management's complete disregard for resident security, communication, and accountability. No resident should come home to an unsecured apartment with no explanation. To make matters worse, dehumidifiers were left running despite no apparent damage to my unit. Earlier this year, the same equipment caused my electric bill to exceed $600 after another building leak. I submitted documentation for reimbursement as instructed, only to have my request ignored. I've also been incorrectly charged for an additional parking space despite being the only person on my lease and owning one vehicle. Again, no meaningful response from management.
Phone calls go unanswered. Emails are ignored. Follow-up is virtually nonexistent. Despite repeatedly requesting contact from management and the maintenance supervisor, I have still heard nothing.
After publicly expressing concerns about previous incidents involving onsite staff, my apartment has experienced an unusual pattern of recurring issues. Whether intentional or not, it is concerning enough that I am seriously considering filing a Fair Housing complaint for review. I have documented email correspondence supporting these unresolved issues.
I'm a long-term resident who has paid rent on time and fully complied with my lease since 2023. This is the first time I am seriously considering not renewing.
Staff turnover is constant, accountability is nonexistent, safety protocols are ignored, and residents pay premium Buckhead prices for declining service and poor upkeep. If management cannot secure residents' homes after entering them, imagine how they handle everything else. Save yourself the frustration and safety risks. I lived here for 2 years. First year was great. Second year was non stop problems with no help. The biggest issue was that my apartment flooded every time it rained- and yes, I mean literal inches of water. It was truly unlivable- their solution for a while was to put an industrial size dehumidifier in my apartment which drove up my power bill hundreds of dollars. Eventually I complained to corporate- turns out many people were having this issue and they were going to have to fix a whole column... of the apartment because of an infrastructure problem. This of course meant that I couldn’t stay in my apartment- they offered me another apartment that was smaller and on a higher floor but did not offer assistance moving. When I expressed that I was going to be paying to live in a smaller apartment in a worse spot, they said there was nothing else they could do. So I was forced to simply move. There’s many other stories- my sink was broken for four months before someone came out to fix it, my car broken into, etc. It’s a great area but not worth it because the staff there do not take care of the property or units. I Love this place to call my home…great staff and awesome management**** they go over and beyond to make sure my safety comes first and all questions and concerns gets answered in Great timely manner…once again love love love my home and my management team!!!!!!!

I moved in about 2 months ago and so far it’s been only problem with management and maintenance. I’ve opened close to 20 requests for maintenance and what it doesn’t take a week for a visit, when I get said visit it’s a quick fix that doesn’t really solve the problem. I went to the office and there is not manager on site and everything is “solve” by a third party, to help the to help us, (nothing is solved whatsoever). Moving in was not an easy process either, you have two options don’t use a... truck at all or carry or furniture for a long walk. Truck doesn’t fit in the garage and it’s not easy to use the dock either bc is narrow and hard to park the truck with access to the elevator. Also my animals are not accepted as my ESA, even with all the doctor documentation attesting that I need them. Apparently it’s a recurring problem with MAA in general. The women working in the leasing office are sweet but no help. Unfortunately so far I only had headaches and I’m struggling with simple things that could have been fix if someone actually care to take a look at it. Read More
