A Year of Headaches at Rock Springs Village: Avoid This Place at All Costs
I had moved into a one bedroom with a small loft and was scheduled for a specific move-in day and time. This was supposed to be my first apartment without roommates, and I was excited. When I arrived, my apartment was not ready. I was told it would take an hour, but I ended up waiting until 2:00 p.m. to get my keys after repeatedly checking in. Once I entered, the cleaning had been poorly done, the new carpet contractor had broken the fiber connection box so internet was impossible until a... technician repaired it, and there was no air filter in the unit.
The washer and dryer provided were extremely outdated and too small to be practical. Every dryer cycle had to run twice just to dry basic loads, and the washer was so undersized that even a single person had to do multiple laundry sessions each week.
During my lease, the HVAC system froze over multiple times. Not only did this leave the apartment uncomfortable, it revealed serious underlying issues with maintenance. The freezes also led to hidden costs and additional stress that should never have fallen on a tenant.
There were ongoing problems with mold in the building, and the elevator was in such poor condition it felt unsafe. It made alarming noises when reaching the top floor and even felt like it was stuck between floors before finally opening, which was frightening.
The property suffered from poor upkeep overall. The office staff were dismissive, unhelpful, and consistently showed a lack of concern for residents. Repeated maintenance requests either took excessive time or were handled with quick, inadequate fixes.
Overall, my experience had been beyond disappointing. Between move-in frustrations, inadequate appliances, HVAC failures, safety concerns, and unprofessional management, I would not recommend living there. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
