MAA River Oaks

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at MAA River Oaks in Duluth, Georgia.

For months, I have been dealing with an ongoing roach infestation that has made my kitchen feel unusable. Despite submitting multiple maintenance requests and allowing repeated pest control treatments, the problem has not been resolved. I continue to find roaches in my dishwasher, cabinets, and kitchen on a regular basis. Living under these conditions has caused significant stress and has affected my family’s... quality of life.

Communication from the leasing office has also been frustrating. I have had to repeatedly follow up for updates, escalate my concerns to MAA Corporate, and spend considerable time advocating for an issue that should have been addressed much sooner. No resident should have to work this hard simply to have a safe and sanitary home. I changed two buildings 1800 and 1900. Both infested with roaches.

I hope MAA takes this complaint seriously, improves communication with residents, and resolves maintenance issues promptly. Every resident deserves to live in a clean, safe, and habitable home. Read More

Their apartments are so much expensive, they have rates so much higher than the market average, even they force their residents to use their provided expensive internet which is of higher price, no cleaning they do in the community, stairs are so much dirty and full of spider webs, they promised to do fumigation and cleaning of our kitchen before we move in but they never did, my pregnant wife did the cleaning on her own, !! they also promised to do a paint job which they did after i made... several calls, if you have extra money just to waste then you are welcome you are going to get nothing. The day that I moved into this complex on 3/6/17 I had a influx of roaches. It was horrible. The kitchen was pretty much infested and at the time I was 6 weeks pregnant. Literally roaches were coming out of every spot of the kitchen and migrated to the hall and master bed/bath. The Northwest pest control guy said he videotaped how bad it was because he himself have never seen it this bad. I was told by Tammy the office manager that it must have been from the residence in front of mine. The pest... control guy said that was not true that the roaches came from my apt and had always been there. We couldn’t eat in our home for 2 weeks then not soon after we had an ant infestation, the heat wouldn’t work in the winter, the a/c wouldn’t work in summer then when the neighbors upstairs would smoke it would come right into our bedroom. This place is horrible and old and you have to keep calling or go into the office just to get a response from the staff. In the end I had to break my lease to get my family now with a 6 month old baby out of there. The office rented out my apt before I left but still want 2 months rent as if they are loosing money when they are charging the new renters more rent than what I was paying. Do not move to this community. HORRIBLE. Btw the master bathroom toilet handle was calcified looks disgusting took a picture and sent to manager Tammy and they still did not change it out. El complejo es muy bonito, la piscina me encanta, los empleados excepcionales y excelentes, muy limpio y organizado todo, los apartamentos muy cómodos y un excelente servicio de los empleados. cuando hay fiesta todos los residentes compartimos bastante.
