The Heron at River Island

From the moment we entered the property, we knew something was different about this community. Before we even met the staff, the overall property was inviting and beautifully maintained. On the phone, Ms. Nicole and Ms. Carissa were engaging, professional, and warm. That initial interaction piqued our interest and made us even more excited to visit the property in person.
When we arrived, refreshments were offered before we began our tour, which was such a thoughtful touch. We viewed three... different apartment homes, and every one of them was exceptional. We were so impressed by the quality of the interiors that we found ourselves saying, "We can make this home!"
Each apartment offers ample storage—from the kitchen to the bedrooms and throughout the home. An added bonus for us was finding a community that offers apartments with garages. The exterior of the buildings exudes a charming Craftsman/cottage style with a modern flair. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the common areas further reinforced that welcoming feeling of home.
During our visit, we saw families enjoying the saltwater pool, residents walking their dogs, and even had the pleasure of chatting with a resident who stopped by the leasing office for a snack and to say hello. This community genuinely feels like a neighborhood rather than just an apartment complex.
The staff were warm, kind, and engaging. Not only did our leasing consultant spend quality time with us, but the community manager also came out to welcome us and visit with us personally. We left feeling like they truly wanted us to become part of their community.
That level of care explains why the resident we spoke with has happily lived there since the community first opened. As part of a career military family, I've visited and lived in communities across the United States, and I can honestly say this one stands out above the rest. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. This community deserves 10 stars on every level.

I love living here. The facilities and staff are incredibly nice. I love going to the gym and to the pool. Attending the community events is a great way to meet some of my neighbors.

We have loved staying at the Heron. There are so many amazing activities for the residents to do. They have a pool and gym. There’s beautiful trails, a dog park and so many more wonderful things about this community.

I’m military, and this is the only place I will live while stationed here in Augusta. I searched so many places, and this is the only place that stood out amongst the rest. There is no competition. I believe we have the best pool in the area! From the amenities to the staff, it’s number 1! I would definitely recommend my military family here.

I absolutely love living at The Heron at River Island! The community is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. The greenery and natural surroundings really make it feel relaxing and different from most apartment communities.
