Scholars Corners Apartments is a great starter for those who are finding their first place, as it's reasonable price and offers basic amenities to live on, especially those who have found their first jobs. If you commute to downtown, it's a great location cause of the Metra train. I can see myself staying here a long time, and even moving to a one-bedroom once I get stable with my new position.

I'm not terribly content with my stay at Scholars Corner. It's small, with next to no counterspace in the kitchen or bathroom, a wall-to-wall carpet making it extremely difficult to clean, with virtually every appliance apparently decades out of date. The windows are insecure, difficult to open in the summer, difficult to close in the winter, and cause a draft in the winter months which makes the bathroom (whose door I must keep closed at all times) almost like an icebox. Maintenance is… difficult to secure, and you will rarely be reimbursed for issues that are not your fault.
