Sugarmill West Apartments

Do not rent here, period. The apartments are filthy dirty, they allow smoking and it shows, yellow walls painted do not cover the smell. Shower doesn't work and that is not a maintenance emergency. No one answers the pnone. The absolute worst. Trash and garbage bags around the grounds, abandoned cars. .....

Very Poor Place , I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone . They take your money fast and management is horrible and catch attitudes when you have an problem .

I have been here for almost 4 years now, and everything has been nice and quiet, friendly and great..until something happens in your apartment then that's when it all falls down...
My toilet has yet been fixed properly- my poor neighbor downstairs keep getting flooded out..its still broke right now, I have to pull the lever after each flush...its pointless to put a ticket in when its not gonna be fixed properly.....and I can do the same thing they are going to do
Now I may have mold in my... apartment and because management says she doesn't believe there is mold they feel its still livable, I gave them a full month with no contact from me, didn't bother them, slept in the living room, because the ceiling I believe has mold is over my bed,just to see if they will fix it yet, or call to give me updates...well nothing from them, I'm supposedly still on a list from a outside roofing company to get fixed.
I have to pay rent still, so I can be in good standings...I have great credit and not trying to have someone mess that up, then now I have to pay for an outside mold company to come test for mold for them to make a decision on fixing the roof properly...All they did was paint the ceiling and stated they sprayed and treated it....
I don't plan to have the possibility of getting sick from mold based off of someone looking seeing black spots and saying oh there's no mold.

Stay here for peace and quiet, but just a warning, once things need fixing this property is not the one, the cooperate office doesn't help either, they don't even call you back...

If you are like me not ready for a house and all its duties, and planning to rent , be aware of this management property.

Since college , and getting my 1st apartment , 1st lake properties has always been my place to go...but this is the 1st time I CAN SAY , I will NEVER use 1st lake properties again...I might as well go get a house if I still have to pay and fix things myself... Read More

Live here for a full year and never hade one issue. Very quiet and clean.. staff is very friendly

They rent to anybody who can pay the bill doesnt matter if they are shady people... A/C does not keep up with the unit!!! anywhere you walk you can sense the smell of cannabis every day my aparment is bombarded with the smell of cannabis that filters in from another apartment. Not a good place to live with family You feel unsafe... Teenagers here are bad influences on other teens... Pool area stinks like Bourbon Street talking about garbage people her cant even throw the garbage inside the... dumpster instead they pile up all the garbage on the floor very unpleasant. The Police officer who patrols the pools on sundays is very rude and annoying. Im sick of this place really looking forward of getting out of here!!!! Read More
