Unprofessional Management, Inadequate Communication, and Arbitrary Enforcement Policies
My experience at Ridge at Blue Hills has been consistently disappointing due to persistent management issues, poor communication, and disorganized operations.
From the beginning, the leasing process was needlessly complicated. After submitting our deposit and agreeing to the lease terms, it took several weeks to receive the final lease. During that time, we were passed between multiple individuals—none of whom took ownership of the process. We were given shifting points of contact, many of... whom would stop responding without explanation. This pattern of frequent staff turnover and inconsistent communication has continued throughout our tenancy.
Most recently, on June 25th at 2:10 PM, management sent a same-day notice stating that all parking stickers must now be affixed to the front windshield only, and that any vehicles not in compliance would be subject to immediate towing—as early as that night. This gave residents less than four hours to act, with the leasing office closing at 6:00 PM and no after-hours assistance available.
My sticker had been on my rear window—clearly visible and compliant by prior standards. I immediately responded to the email expressing concern that there was no realistic opportunity to replace the sticker that day. I received no acknowledgment or assurance, only silence. This lack of responsiveness, combined with the sudden and inflexible enforcement of a new policy, is unacceptable.
Residents should not be expected to operate under a system where vital information is communicated at the last minute, with the threat of punitive action and no clear means of recourse. This approach demonstrates a troubling disregard for resident experience and basic fairness.
For the rent charged at Ridge at Blue Hills, residents should expect competent, stable, and responsive management. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I would not recommend this complex to prospective tenants.
