Not even close to worth the price

Before i get too far into my review ill start off by saying most of the people who live in this building are very friendly and genuine people. The property management company is great, and very responsive whenever there is a problem and they do their absolute best to try to make your living experience comfortable, and the neighbors in the houses next door are the nicest people i have ever met. However with that being said, when we rented this unit it was advertised as a town house which was... false. We didn’t realize until we moved in that the most miserable people we have ever met lived in the basement below us. We are incredibly respectful, always took our shoes off and even shut the doors with the doorknobs turned so they wouldn't make any noise. They still would slam on the ceiling below us and wrote multiple complaints about us to the landlord. We couldn’t even play with our 4 month old baby on the living room floor without being screamed at. Living here was honestly the worst experience i have ever had. The building itself is extremely old and falling apart with paper thin walls and little to no insulation. You can hear your neighbors phone vibrate when they receive a notification. Its also very close to the road and the road noise is almost unbearable. The apartments are much smaller than advertised. I would say about 650-700 square feet max. Electric heat and hot water with poor insulation made the electric bill close to $500 in the winter months. No A/C and tenant supplied window units struggle to keep up in the summer no matter how big they are. Electrical is outdated and the fridge electrical breaker popped several times for no apparent reason and once caused all of our food to spoil. Hot water completely runs out within 25 minutes and takes over an hour to recover due to a small water heater tank with no mix valve installed. Theres no dishwasher which is okay, but when you have to do dishes by hand and the hot water runs out so quickly it can become a nuisance. We barely lasted a year before we found a apartment that is almost brand new, almost 2 times the size with every accommodation available with central heat and A/C that is gas and incredibly affordable and 100 times more enjoyable to live in for rent that is $300 less per month than this one. Weigh your options and make this building your last resort.
