About Scio Farms Estates
Scio Farms provides residents with a beautifully maintained community that has easy convenience to a host of exciting entertainment, cultural and educational venues. Situated in Ann Arbor - just 30 minutes from Saline, Chelsea and Manchester and a... short 45 minutes from Detroit, Scio Farms offers the excitement and diversity of a progressive university town surrounded by the down-home charm and history of smaller, neighboring cities. Ann Arbor is rich in arts and culture. Take your family to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, housed in a century-old firehouse, featuring over 250 interactive science and technology exhibits, or take a ride on the Artrain, the nation's only traveling art museum on a train. Stop by Animalia, where more than 100 artists display glass, sculpture, paintings, furniture and decorative ceramics. Make sure not to miss the popular Ann Arbor Art Fair during the late summer, and the Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival during the latter part of September! If shopping is your preference, you have some major choices from which to choose! Scio Farms is only ten minutes from Briarwood Mall, with its four major department stores and 13 specialty stores. Why not take your family and friends to quaint towns of Chelsea or Saline, and explore their unique collection of clothing, antiques and collectibles shops? Don't forget about Ypsilanti's Depot Town, now restored to its 19th century glory with wonderful vintage clothing, country and folk shops. The possibilities are limitless! For those who love to golf, Ann Arbor provides more than 20 public, and 10 private and semi-private courses, all within a 15-mile radius and all established in dramatic settings with unique appeal. Football fans who can manage to find tickets to a University of Michigan game will be amply rewarded with the excitement of college football only a U of M game can provide. Of course, the community's proximity to Detroit allows the true sports fan to head down to the brand-new Ford Field for a Lions game or the new Comerica Park to catch a Tigers game. The Red Wings and Pistons bring more than their share of excitement as well, so don't miss one or more of their games either!

Unsafe!!!!
People here drive crazy! Speed limit clearly posted. My kid was nearly struck by a high speed jerk walking to the bus stop to go to school. I have complained several times about the drivers tailgating me and passing me at high speed on the grass or driving over the median and nearly running over a child on a bicycle to get around me. Owners of park do not care. I drive the speed limit becsuse I respect the other families and children here. This is a family park. It is private property so law... enforcement has NO jurisdiction here. NO security!!! cars being ransacked at night and someone breaks into trailers when redidents are gone. NOT SAFE!!!!
