Dont Move Here

If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is not the place for you. The walls are thin and if you live under someone who moves around alot youre basically screwed because management wont do anything about it. You could consider moving to a higher floor but good luck carrying your things up the stairs because there’s no elevator. Super Hot in the summer no A/C and boiling hot in the winter because the radiators, which are super loud when they cut on. A lot of us have installed A/C in the windows... but the air wont reach upstairs, which most people use as their bedroom. Extremely overpriced for what you’re getting. I wish I couldve talked my boyfriend out of moving here but never again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Cool spot to live

Cool spot to live If you don’t have high expectations. The building is a converted factory. The neighbors are nice. Managers are helpful.

Feels like a community

I've been living here now for a few years and I've been really happy with the overall experience. The building has a lot of character, and the location is quiet and close enough to downtown and the freeway. Management is communicative and concerned about a couple of the issues I've had. I can say that this place feels like a community, the tenants are friendly and help each other out.

Greek tragedy

The lofts are uniquely beautiful, as the building has been retrofitted from an old storage facility, so the construction inside and out is original. The place has a healthy fang shui, exuding warmth and charm, with exposed brick and wooden pillars throughout, and beautiful original wooden floors.
However, that's where the positives end. The building is really not fitted for residential purpose, since it hasn't acquired residential code licence until 2015, and it still doesn't meet proper...
standards.
First, there is zero insulation between floors and units, making the space lack privacy, exposing tenants to noise from neighboring units. If you live on lower floors, you can hear every step from the person living above you, which is magnified by the echo of the spatial loft. If there is more than one person walking above, and some people have parties with a lot of people, your only choice is to book a night in a hotel or you will have a sleepless night. The noise can become unbearable at times.
The management there is greedy, and incompetent, sticking to no rules. Like a little Greek tyranny of sorts.
The owner has a few more loft buildings across the city, and I visited some of them, and all of them face the same problems. It's a nice concept to retrofit and repurpose abandoned buildings but it has to be done correctly, adhering to residential codes, and fair practices. This isn't the case at the Milwaukee Park Lofts.

Milwaukee Park Loft

Looks kinda rough on the outside, but sweet and kowsey on the inside. If you don't have a lot of furniture it's perfect. I would say great for a first apartment.
