Great building great location

Great apartment with an awesome backyard. Convenient because it's next to Wayne State University so I'm across the street from my classes. The building is beautiful and has its own parking lot. Its a month to month lease. The manager is very nice and cares about tenants. The only bad thing is they have a hard time adjusting the heat to the right temperature in the winter. Other than that it's an awesome place to live.

Great for Wayne State University Students

The building is old and seems run down, but the building managers care about everyone here and help when ever you ask for it, even if it is to walk to class if you feel unsafe. Our landlord tries to keep the rent low and is willing to negotiate with you over rent, especially if you might be late with it. The apartments were built in the 1920's or 30's so they are old, but the size of the apartments compared to other buildings in the area is very large. In addition there is a parking lot for... residents, pets are allowed, and there is a small fenced in back yard.
It's the perfect apartment for a Wayne State University student since the apartment is next to campus and policed by the WSU Police.

Best apartment building in Wayne State University

I have been living around WSU for about 8 years, and I saw a number of buildings, and lived in three or four of them. The Renaud and Touraine are not really special, if you just look at them, but honestly I can say that they are the best places to live in midtown around WSU. The price is definitely right, not like some solutions in the same area that charge up to $1000 for a studio apartment. The owner is a very nice person, and the maintenance guys are fast to respond to requests, and very... efficient.
The courtyard is great for unwinding in the evening, with a small garden, all day in the shade of two huge trees.
Heat is great during the winter, and during summer it does not get too hot (except for a couple of roof units).
The tenants are not loud, at least at this time, and the apartments seems to be well insulated anyway, soundwise.
I loved living here.
