The Oaks on Lincoln

The customer service for the leasing office is beyond horrible and disgusting. Lori is nice and sweet for you to sign your lease after that its downhill from there. She's very disrespectful and rude. Maintenance is even worst! I'll never reccomend anyone to live here

My first year was great but after that it went downhill fast. My storage unit was robbed and my apartment had some issues that no one would want. It was always an annoyance to get a response from the front office. Then when I finally moved out, I did not receive anything for my security deposit. I was told I missed a few of my gas payments. The units run a shared gas bill based on the amount of people living in each. I was always charged for a minimum of 1 extra person. Every time I... complained, I was apologized to and told that the amount owed to me would cover the next bill and that I should not pay the next month. Then a few months later, they would add an extra person back onto my bill. The walls are beyond thing and you can hear everything. We lived here for two years and the experience was great.
The location is excellent and the complex is perfect for families and singles. The Property Manager is very helpful and responsive - any maintenance requests were promptly and thoroughly addressed. The Property Manager answered all our questions and helped us many times with our application and while we lived here. We never had any problems.
The apartment is in a very quiet, residential neighborhood and there is off-street parking... .
Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance.
The grounds are well-maintained and clean.
There is a private pool - which is really great during the summer.
We looked at many apartments in Oak Park before moving here and this one was definitely the nicest one.
We moved because of work and would definitely have stayed here if we could. We miss living at the Oaks on Lincoln already.
Besides the apartment itself - which was excellent - the Property Manager was very helpful and accommodating and made living here a very pleasant and hassle-free experience. Read More

Horrible place to live. Garbage bins are always filled. No snow removal until days later then lots of salt is thrown on porches and sidewalks. Nothing is fixed in a timely manner. Management is rude and unprofessional. Rent continues to go up year after year. Carpet cleaners are a joke. Do not move here, you will be sorry.

We have spent the last two years at Oaks on Lincoln and have nothing but good things to say. Management is friendly and always helpful. Any issues we have ever had have been fixed quickly. Our daughters enjoy playing in the yard and swimming in the pool, and there are several parks/playgrounds within walking distance. We have always felt safe here, and we have never had any issues with our property being stolen or vandalized. There are many restaurants close by in Berkley and Royal Oak.
