A Gem in the Heart of RO

I've been living at The Windemere in Royal Oak for four months now and it has been fantastic! The neighborhood is fairly quiet and set back but it's still just a short distance to downtown Royal Oak and Woodward on the other side. The building is older but the units inside are renovated—hardwood floors, granite countertops, new A/C unit, etc.

There is a fair amount of young people, but also a few older residents. From what I've heard there is pretty low-turnover since the residents love living...
here so much. Everyone is very friendly and respectful of each other's space. Generally, it's pretty quiet throughout the week and slightly busier on the weekends.

The courtyard is very nice during all the seasons and management does a good job of keeping the facilities (laundry, parking lot, landscaping) maintained throughout the year.

Overall, highly recommend if you are looking to move to RO but still want some peace and quiet away from the noise! This is a great space!

Great place to live

I've been living at the Windemere for a month now fresh out of college and so far it has been fantastic! The location is great as it is walking distance of downtown Royal Oak, but placed on a quiet street away from all the sounds of traffic. The units are very modern and look great with the wooden floors, granite counter tops and wooden kitchen cabinets. Surrounding neighborhoods are very friendly. Highly recommend living here for people of all ages.
